The oldest copy of the New Testament in the world is online now. http://www.codexsinaiticus.org/en/
Yes, I know, we can't access it all yet.
And it's not in English yet.
But I'm still really excited about this.
I already know that it is not precisely like the current versions of the Bible. I am not worried about that. I am not looking to pick apart the versions, I'm looking to expand my relationship with the Word.
Theologians can argue about the details.
I just want to immerse myself in the Bible that is the closest to the times that Jesus walked this earth. The Spirit will lead me in understanding what I read. At least, as much understanding that I, in my limited capacity as a human, can understand.
There is a Reason why, in these troubled times, this Bible is becoming available online.
I am looking forward to translations, so I can immerse myself in the Word.
(Actually, when I looked online, it appears that someone has translated it. http://www.sinaiticus.com/. No matter, I want to see the original text.)
